The restaurant is placed on the highest level of the farm, allowing views of Nittany Mountain and the farm. The structure is a double membrane, the inner wall acting as a thermal barrier/thermal mass and the outer wall is formed from architectural fabric. Between them is air circulation and a greenhouse. The outer wall, a ribbon, flows throughout the site, folding and transforming into roofs, floors, walls, and benches. Throughout the site, educational ‘nodes’ are placed, educating the community and customers about the Living Building Challenge, farm to fork, and sustainability.
